About.

Geena St. Clair Urango.

Geena grew up in Southern California and picked up the sport of volleyball at only 11 years old. She earned both an indoor and beach volleyball scholarship to the University of Southern California where she got her BA in Communications and Master’s in Communication Management. Geena has been a staple on the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) tour and has been competing professionally for over 12 years. Winning her first Championship in 2022, she also has 9 finals appearances, was the inaugural AVP League Champion in 2024, and is the 2x League MVP in 2024 and 2025. Not only that, but she is the only Hispanic American ranked in the top 15.

Outside of volleyball, Geena works in Digital Marketing and mentorship. Some of her other passions include traveling and outdoor activities, such as, snowboarding, surfing, pickleball, and camping. She is also a pit bull advocate, due in large part to her rescue, Zucca.

While the sport of volleyball has been a huge part of her life, it is only the beginning of what Geena aspires to give back to the world. Geena hopes to be a role model for Hispanic girls not only as a successful athlete, but as a positive individual as well. She is a huge proponent for equal representation, women empowerment and mental health.
